Sam Ross - Director
Sam Ross has been hairdressing for fourteen years, and running her own salon for over four. After qualifying in basic hairdressing, she went on to achieve the NVQ3 Advanced hairdressing qualification and an Assessors Award, which allows her to teach hairdressing. During her training she won numerous competitions including Ladies Evening Style at the Southern National Championships.
Over seven years Sam rose from junior stylist to manager at Styles Unlimited in Bookham. During this time she completed courses in advanced hairdressing, management, cutting, perming and colouring. Sam then took up the part-time post of hairdressing lecturer at Crawley College. From there she moved to the Fulham branch of the Headmasters chain as a senior stylist and educator. After developing her skills in training, management, demonstrating and presenting, Sam decided in 2003 that the natural progression was to open her own salon. By 2007 the Sam Ross team has grown to nine stylists and assistants.
Danielle - Senior Stylist
Danielle has been hairdressing for over nine years. She trained at Sean Hanna, Epsom and worked there for four years. Before joining the team at Sam Ross. She was a senior stylist both in New Zealand and onboard the cruise liner Caronia, then manager at Sebastians in Epsom. Her qualifications include NVQ3 Advanced hairdressing, TDLB D32/33 teaching diploma and a number of colour courses. Danielle has been working at Sam Ross for over 3 years as a senior stylist and is the educating director.
Danielle works in the salon three days a week.
Jo - Senior Stylist
Jo has been hairdressing for nineteen years now and is skilled in all aspects of the job. She especially enjoys colouring and hair-up. Jo started her career and qualified at Command Performance. At the age of 16 she won the National Finals for Modern Day Style. She then completed courses in classic and advanced cutting, perming, and colouring. Jo then moved to Headhigh, Leatherhead where she worked as a senior stylist for eight years. A move to the Isle of Man saw Jo working in a busy salon for four years, attending additional cutting and colouring courses. Jo has been working as a senior stylist at Sam Ross for over two years. She is currently available Wednesday through to Saturday.
Lauren - Stylist
Lauren got a taste of hairdressing working part-time at Sebastians, Epsom. She started at Sam Ross in 2005 working part-time as she studied her A levels and her love for hairdressing grew so much that she decided to become a full-time assistant stylist and start an NVQ2 Hairdressing day release course at Carshalton College. Lauren has progressed extremely quickly due to her enthusiasm, talent and ambition and has completed her college course. She is full-time at Sam Ross.
Jenna - Stylist
Jenna has been working at Sam Ross for 2 years and her enthusiasm, playful but professional personality means she has become a central member of our team at Sam Ross. She qualified from Kingston College on a day release course and acheived an NVQ2 Hairdressing qualification. Jenna is showing good progress with her skills and specialises in styling and hair up.
Trisha - Assistant Stylist
Trisha has been a part of the Sam Ross team for a year. She has always had a passion for hairdressing from an early age and has worked in a few local salons including Charlie Brown, Banstead as an assistant. Although young, Trisha has amazing people skills and a very high standard of professionalism. She is attending East Surrey College on day release working towards her NVQ2 Hairdressing qualification and is showing signs of becoming a successful stylist in the future.
